Surprising heart - poor execution
Let's be fair; the casting of this movie is perfect the way it is. Even Sven-Ole gets to do his best Arnie-impersonation for a bit (he could have had more room in this movie, honestly), and everyone else is acting hard and straight, given the somewhat ludicrous premise.
The movie did not pick up how to do actionscenes from other movies of its time, and relies on shakycam and manual recoils. It cheapens the experience considerably.
The journey is nice, the setting gorgeous, and the acting great. It just looks and sounds cheap, that's all. I still recommend it.
