Stephen King meanders. We all know this. He takes his sweet time building tension, characters, and delivering the point. Sometimes that works. This story does not. In text, this is tedious, on the screen, it is just boring. The characters are not engaging enough to captivate, the tension is lacking and the fear is never truly present. It is too remote, too predictable, too sane. There are far better movies of Mr King's to watch.
