This is a pull out all the stops sci-fi/horror spoof and splatter comedy with slapstick and raunchy humor. You’ll observe amusing references to Predator, the X-Files, Star Trek, Phantasm, Gargoyles and more.

Brunette Emily Booth is a highlight as the tabloid reporter with her stunning face amidst the kinetic happenings. Unfortunately, the indie’s such an over-the-top assault on the senses it’s overkill.

Nevertheless, it has garnered a cult following and entertains if you’re in a certain mood and can stomach the hard R-rated proceedings. It was made by Jake West, who would go on to make the underrated “Pumpkinhead: Ashes to Ashes” the next year.

For a serious film that proficiently addresses the same subject matter, check out 2014's "Extraterrestrial."

It runs 1h 33m and was shot in 2004 in Avebury, which is a 2 hours’ drive west of London, as well as a working farm in Cambridgeshire, which is a 1½ hours’ drive north of London. I’m not sure where the coastal sequences were shot; a couple of iffy sources say Wales.
